Feryazkino is a village in the Kalinin district of the Tver region . Refers to the Turginovsky rural settlement . Until 2006, it was part of the Bolshegorsky rural district.

The population according to the 2002 census is 54 people, 27 men, 27 women.

Located 45 km (in a straight line) south of Tver , on the right bank of the Shoshi River.

Content

History

The name Feryazkino comes from the word "queen" - this is a special type of clothing.

The first mention of Feryazkino in the annals dates back to 1539 - the era of Ivan the Terrible . Then there were 2 yards in the village and it belonged to Prince Dmitry Ivanovich Mikulinsky.

In 1746, the villages of Feryazkino and neighboring Yelizovo belonged to the Trinity-Sergius Lavra and totaled 135 souls of peasants. In 1764, by decree of Catherine II, the peasants of the village were transferred from monastic to state.

At the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th centuries, the village belonged to the Goremykovsky parish of the Mikulinsky volost of the Staritsky district of the Tver province . In 1859, 30 courtyards, 389 inhabitants [1] in the official village of Feryaskino , in 1886 - 84 courtyards, 563 residents [2] .

At the beginning of the 20th century, Feryazkino was a large, wealthy village of Staritsky Uyezd, in which there were: a postal and telegraph office, a sawmill, several factories, a mill, a pharmacy, trading shops, a roadside inn and even a bookstore. The population of Feryazkino according to the 1920 census is 722 inhabitants.

In 1924, the village of Big Feryazkino (at the beginning of the 20th century a new village-settlement Small Feryazkino appeared 1.5 km to the south) became part of the Tver Uyezd . In 1929-1963, the village was the center of the Feryazkinsky Village Council of the Turginovsky District , since 1935 in the Kalinin Region .

During the Great Patriotic War, it was occupied by the Nazi troops in October 1941, and was liberated by the troops of the Kalinin Front in December of that year. On the fronts killed 37 natives of Feryazkino [3] .

In 1997, in the village of Feryazkino, the Bolshegorsky rural district, there were 40 households, 81 residents.

Famous People

Vasily Ivanovich Orlov was born in the village (1901-1979), chairman of the Turginovsky collective farm named after S. M. Kirova, Hero of Socialist Labor (1969). Vasily Ivanovich became the prototype [4] of the hero Mikhail Ulyanov in the film "Chairman" (1964).
