Jacques Chagnon ( fr. Jacques Chagnon ; born August 28, 1952, Montreal ) is a Quebec politician, MP from Westmount-Saint-Louis County, chairman of the Quebec National Assembly since 2011 [1] .

In the government of Jean Charet served as Minister of Public Security. He showed himself during the Oka crisis in Kanesataka as a result of the warlike actions of the leader of the Mohawks, James Gabriel. Deprived of the ministerial portfolio, he continued to enter the Charet government. In 2006, he attended with the provincial prime minister when he expressed sympathy for the victims of the shooting at Dawson College .
