In Soviet times, the Russian form of Tsebelda was used as the official name of the village. Administratively, the territory of the village is the Tsabal rural administration ( abh. Abal aқyҭa akhadara ), in Soviet times there were 3 village councils on the territory of the modern rural administration: Tsebeldi , Amtkel and Lat . After the Georgian-Abkhazian war of 1992-1993, the population of this territory was greatly reduced, Amtkelsky and the almost deserted Late Village Councils were merged with Tsebelda in a single Tsabala village administration. The Tsabal rural administration covers the territory of the Tsebelda valley , Amtkyalsky and Dzhampalsky gorges, the headwaters of the Great and Small Machara , the lower part of the Kodori gorge . Tsabal is the largest rural administration in the Gulrypsh district. On the territory of Tsabala passes the Military Sukhumi road .
