History
Salomon was founded in France in Annecy , in 1947, by François Salomon ( French: François Salomon ), his wife and son Georges. Initially, the company produced saw blades (the master of which Francois had worked at one time) and edging for skis. The ski mount system “meil carres”, developed in 1948, was revolutionary, immediately supplied to all ski manufacturers in France , Switzerland , Austria and the USA, the sports type “carres”. Georges Salomon also owns the invention of the first cable tie ( 1952 ). Since 1997, the company has been part of Adidas-Salomon AG , an international sporting goods corporation.
On May 2, 2005, Adidas-Salomon AG announced that it had concluded an agreement between it and the Finnish company Amer Sports to sell Salomon for the amount of 485 million euros . The transfer of the amount was completed on October 20, 2005 .
1947-1980. From its founding until international recognition
- 1947 - In the suburbs of Annecy opened a workshop of the Salomon family on the production and repair of skis.

- 1995 - Salomon acquires Bonfire Inc , a snowboard company based in Portland , Oregon . Salomon Introduces Prolink Ski Model with External Vibration Absorption System.
- 1997 - Adidas acquires the Salomon group with the goal of creating Adidas-Salomon AG . Salomon launches a full line of snowboards. The company invents snowblades (from the English. Work also continues with Arc'teryx , a Canadian company specializing in outdoor activities.
- 2002 - Salomon becomes the main sponsor of Margaret Rivers Masters in Australia , officially launches the S-Core surf technology project. Snowboarder David Benedek is named Rider of the Year by and wins the Air & Style contest in Innsbruck .
- 2003 - Candide Thovex wins gold in the halfpipe contest, Aleisha Cline and Lars Lewen takes gold at skierX at X-Games. Skiers using Salomon win 5 gold medals at St. Moritz World Championships .
- 2004 - Salomon launches its first Nordic ski range. Anya Pearson ( Anja Pärson ) and Renate Goetschl ( Renate Goetschl ) win all the crystal figurines of the World Cup.
- 2005 - The campaign "Live your dream"; Salomon announces this year's women. Amer Sports Group acquires Salomon .
- 2008 - 2009 - Salomon separates its stores from the Adidas retail chain. The opening of the first Salomon store together with the Atomic brand in Moscow in the winter and spring of 2010 .
