Company History

  • 1923 - according to a special resolution of the Council of Labor and Defense of the Council of People's Commissars of the RSFSR (dated April 26, 1921 ), the construction of a paper mill began.
  • June 27, 1929 - launch of the first paper machine
  • April 27, 1935 - The Presidium of the Central Executive Committee of the USSR assigned the enterprise the name of S. M. Kirov .
  • 1947 - the first post-war paper was produced at the restored mill (the pulp and paper mill was destroyed in 1941).
  • 1951 - The company completely restored its pre-war capacity.
  • 1959 - the plant turns into a large construction site, Kondopoga declared the All-Union shock Komsomol construction site.
  • January 4, 1971 - By a decree of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR, the Kondopoga Pulp and Paper Mill was awarded the highest state award of the USSR - the Order of Lenin . [3]
  • October 23, 1992 - The pulp and paper mill was transformed into the Kondopoga joint-stock company.
  • January 2013 - OJSC Kondopoga filed for bankruptcy.
