Story

The whole city celebrates the new 1998 year. Meanwhile, Ned Flanders draws up tax returns and takes them to the post office the next day. Three months later, the whole city crowded there, because it was the last day of the submission of declarations. Homer cheerfully watches this on TV, because he paid taxes ... a year ago! Homer barely manages to drop his documents in the mail. But failure awaits him here - in the tax administration, his declarations accidentally fall into the Strict Audit basket, and Homer is soon arrested. But Homer really does not want to go to prison and for the sake of freedom he agrees to everything - even to spy on friends on the order of the tax service. Because of him, one hacker from Mo Tavern is being arrested. But Homer’s work isn’t over yet - the tax agency instructs him to find a unique trillion-dollar bill that Mr. Burns is hiding somewhere. As it turned out, in 1945, US President Harry Truman decided to help European countries rebuilding after the war, and specially for them issued a unique one-trillion dollar bill. Mr. Burns was assigned to transfer it to Europe, but the bill did not reach Europe, it disappeared somewhere. And now Homer must find her!

Homer enters the mansion and tries to find a bill, but then Mr. Burns notices him. Fortunately, the old man thinks that Homer is a simple reporter and tells him everything about himself. He also shows Homer a trillion dollar bill. It was at this point that FBI agents burst into the room and arrested Burns. He makes a sensual speech about taxpayers and where their money goes. This speech really touches Homer, and he saves Burns from the tax authorities by pulling the rug from under their feet. Homer, Burns and Smithers decide to flee the country so that the FBI does not catch them. They fly away on an old Burns plane and land in Cuba. They decide to become local rich. Meanwhile, Fidel Castro decides to abandon communism, since there is no more money for it. Upon learning that our heroes have a trillion, Castro invites them to his place and quietly steals a bill. The Trinity has to return to the United States, which they already miss. And when Smithers reminds Burns that they are still outlawed in the USA, he answers that he pleads guilty to his patriotism and reminds Smithers that you can still bribe the judges. So Burns and Homer, contented, stand on their raft and together pronounce "Glory to America!"
