Title
The name of the ulus in translation from Buryat means "yellow stallion" [2] . According to legend, in these places the wolves killed the beloved stallion of Genghis Khan , after which the great commander ordered to name this land Shara-Azarg . According to another, more believable version, the name comes from the Sartul clans of the “Azarga ball” - “the red stallion” and “zerdez azarga” - “the salt stallion”. By the name of one of these genera, the name of the rivers and the locality of Shara Azarga arose.
History
Ulus of Shara-Azarg originates from the Shara-Azarga Cossack guard, created here by the middle of the XVIII century, to carry out border service on the Russian- Qing border.
Shara-Azarga school is one of the oldest in the Zakamensky district - founded in 1905.
