Career
Beginning in 1964, for 18 seasons, he played for the club Tappara (1964-1979, 1981-1984), in which he became a champion five times. Two seasons spent in the Swedish "XB-71". In the regular championships of Finland played 476 matches, 254 points (125 pucks + 129 programs). In the playoffs - 50 games, 30 points (14 + 16). Number 3, under which Maryameki played for Tappara, was taken out of circulation by the club. In 1990 he entered the Finnish hockey hall of fame at number "68". Participant of two Olympiads ( Sapporo 1972 , Innsbruck 1976 (12 matches, 2 goals), ten world championships (1967, 1969–72, 1974, 1975, 1977-79, (85 matches, 15 goals). In 1998 he was introduced to the IIHF Hall of Fame He died of a heart attack in May 2012.
