Egidio Vagnozzi ( Italian: Egidio Vagnozzi ; February 2, 1906 , Rome , Kingdom of Italy - December 26, 1980 , ibid.) - Italian Curial Cardinal and Vatican diplomat . The titular archbishop of Mira from March 9, 1949 to June 26, 1967. The apostolic delegate to the Philippines from March 9, 1949 to August 9, 1951. The apostolic nuncio in the Philippines from August 9, 1951 to December 16, 1958. The apostolic delegate to the United States from December 16, 1958 to June 26, 1967 Chairman of the Prefecture of Economic Affairs of the Holy See from January 13, 1968 to December 26, 1980. Camerlengo of the Holy College of Cardinals from June 30, 1979 to December 26, 1980. Cardinal Deacon from June 26, 1967, with the titular deaconess of San Giuseppe in Via Trionfale June 29, 1967 to March 5, 1973. Cardinal priest with the title of the church pro hac vice San Giuseppe in Via Trionfale since March 5, 1973.
