Subsequently, Mew also appeared as one of the main characters in the film " Pokemon: Lucario and Mew's Secret " in the special episode " Pokemon: Lord of the Mirage Pokemon " and was also mentioned in the movie " Pokemon: Detective Pikachu ."
Reaction and reviews
Due to its balanced indicators and the ability to learn any technique, Mew is considered one of the best Pokémon in the games Red , Blue and Yellow [1] . Studies of the effects of fictional characters on children, such as in Pikachu's Global Adventure: The Rise and Fall of Pokémon , have shown that Mu is most popular among girls who like “cute” characters; Mute, on the contrary, is popular among older boys who are interested in "strong and scary" characters [2] . In the book Media and the Make-believe Worlds of Children , a similar comparison was noted. Mew was described as “childish and gentle, strong and sweet,” emphasizing his importance to children in that he contrasts with Mute [3] . According to the IGN version , Mew was recognized as one of the best mental type Pokémon along with Mute , Alakazam and Starmi. He was also called a good rival to Mute and an unpredictable Pokémon due to the fact that he can learn any attack in games [4] .
The spread of Mew through special events was called one of the main reasons for the success of a series of games in Japan [5] . However, Computer and Video Games magazine criticized Mew's exclusivity at Nintendo events, calling it one of the worst aspects of a series of Pokemon games, as Mew could be caught using special devices like Pro Action Replay, which made the events useless and outdated [6] . Mew took sixth place in the list of “25 coolest hidden characters” according to UGO.com [7] . Tracy West and Catherine Knoll, authors of the book Pokémon Top 10 Handbook , named Mew the best legendary Pokémon and the fifth best Pokémon in general [8] .
