Tepe Yahya is an archaeological site on the territory of the Kerman Iranian island, about 220 km south of Kerman , 90 km south of Baft and 90 km southwest of the Giroft area.
Content
History
The place was inhabited in the period 6-2 thousand BC. e., as well as in the 10-4 centuries. BC e.
In 3 thousand BC e. the city was a center for the production of chlorite ceramics, which was exported to Mesopotamia. During this period, the city was under the influence of Elam , and tablets with inscriptions by the Proto-Elam letter were found in it [1] .
Archeology
The monument is a round mound about 20 m high and 187 meters in diameter. [2]
Excavations were carried out for 6 seasons in the period 1967-1975. They were conducted by the American School of Prehistoric Studies at the Peabody Museum of Archeology and Ethnology at Harvard University in collaboration with Shiraz University . The expedition was led by K.K. Lamberg-Karlovsky. [3] [4] [5]

The monument consists of several cultural layers:
- VII: 5500-4500 BC e.
- VI-Vc: 4500-3600 BC e.
- Vb-a: 3600-3200 BC e.
- IVc: 3100-2800 BC e.
- IVb: 2400-2000 BC e.
- IVa: 1800-1400 BC e.
- III: 800-500 BC e.
- II: 500-275 BC e.
- I: 200 years BC e. - 300 g
- VI-Vc: 4500-3600 BC e.
