St. Nicholas Parish was formed on the site of the Svyatolutsk Nikolaevsky Monastery [6] . The Monks Dionysius Glushitsky and Pakhomiy Velikoozersky came along the eastern side of Lake Kubensky from the Spasokamenny Monastery and first erected the wooden church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker. The temple was painted by the Monk Dionisy Glushitsky himself , who later left the monastery and formed a new desert on the Glushitsa River.
Pachomius of Velikoozersky remained in the Holy Onion. In 1630, in the ascribed Svyatolutsk desert, there were two wooden churches: cold Nikolaev and warm with a meal, consecrated in honor of the Presentation of the Lord. The Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker in St. Luke, in the estate of the Spasokamenny monastery on Lake Kubensky , in the Vologda district , was mentioned in the salary book of 1618.
Then the stone church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker was built - the parish Svyatolutsk St. Nicholas Church, a stone, two-story, with 4 thrones. The lower church was built in 1786, the upper one in 1790. The thrones were consecrated in honor of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker - the main one, the Presentation of the Lord, the icon of the Mother of God "Kazan", the great martyr Catherine of Alexandria. The renovated chapel in the name of St. Nicholas of Myra was consecrated on November 4, 1879. The relics of the Monk Pachomius of Velikoozersky rested under the cover.
Location of the church: in 1859 - Svyatolutsky Nikolaevsky graveyard, in the 1st camp of the Vologda district , by the Sukhon river. Five chapels were attributed to the parish: in the village of Bolshaya Verkhotina , Maloye Linyakovo , Kapustino , Kalinovo , Shera .
In the 20-30 years of the XX century, during the establishment of Soviet power, members of the local party cell brutally destroyed the temple. They drove the sleepers into the windows, then set them on fire. The sleepers burned slowly, the church warmed up and finally collapsed. The brick was transported along roads to fill damp places, where an even more impenetrable swamp formed. The iconostasis was burned near the village of Sergeevskaya. Local parishioners, under the threat of life, were able to save something from the decoration of the church, save several icons. Alexandra Vasilyevna Patralova was saved by a cross carved from wild stone, which at one time sailed against the current to the church and was placed in a church on a wooden pedestal under glass. A brave woman hid him in the back of the house buried in the ground, littered with hay. Currently, the cross has been handed over to the Church of the Holy Spirit in the village of Arkhangelsk , where the Face of Jesus Christ appeared on it.
To date, only the hill has survived from the destroyed Nikolskaya Church. Next to it is the Svyatolutsky Nikolaevsky Pogost, where local residents are buried and still bury.
Here lies the Monk Pakhomiy Velikoozersky, the inhabitants of the Svyatolutsky Nicholas Monastery, priests who served in the Nikolaev Church, parishioners, teachers of the Pryluksky parish school, teachers of elementary and eight-year schools.
