Zhao Hermi ( Chinese. 宓 ) is a Chinese zoologist. He graduated from the Faculty of Biology of the University of Western China in Guiyang in 1951.

Zhao Ermi described and named 38 new species and subspecies of amphibians and reptiles and two new genera of amphibians. The book Herpetology of China, written by the American scientist Craig Adler, was the first monograph to comprehensively describe the 661 species of amphibians and reptiles of China.
Zhao Ermi was one of the first scientists to study amphibians and reptiles in Tibet. He described 8 new species and was the first to report that cobras migrated north at 4 degrees latitude. This served as evidence that subtropical animals spread north along the Brahmaputra channel.
