Biography
Alexander Wustin began to compose music in 1952 , but believes that only in 1972 he found his own individual composer's style. In 1957 - 1961 he was engaged in composition with Grigory Samuilovich Frid . In 1969 he graduated from the Moscow State Conservatory in the class of Vladimir Fere , worked as an editor on the radio, and then in the publishing house "Soviet Composer". Vustin is an active participant in the new Association of Contemporary Music (AFM-2), created and headed by Edison Denisov in 1989. His film works include music for Rustam Khamdamov’s film Anna Karamazoff , 1991 .
In 2016 - “composer in the residence” of the State Orchestra of Russia (project by Vladimir Yurovsky ).
The world premiere of the opera "Devil in Love" took place on February 15, 2019 at MAMT (Musical Theater named after Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko n / a Vl.Yurovsky;
Creative Feature
Vustin’s musical language is characterized by extreme restraint, depth, semantic concentration, intense experience of time as a kind of space of actual musical action common to the author, performer and listener, and in this sense he can be called the heir to the traditions of Anton Webern .
