Story Description
The near future. Earthlings are settled on the planets of the solar system. The settlers on the satellite of Jupiter Ganymede manages to come into contact with the Naurra, one of the tribes inhabiting Jupiter. Nayarry, like earthly centaurs, are preparing for war with the Ulunt Hazul tribe. The militant Ulunt Hazuls left their islands plunging into the ocean and are going to expel the Naurr from Medalon, a plain that the Naurr conquered from the wild tribes, mastered and settled. Theor, the son of the leader of the Naarrow tribe, is trying to intimidate the invaders by contacting the transmitter with his friend the colonist Mark Freser, but the attempt fails. Frazer has to cut short the conversation, since Aurora (the main city on Ganymede) is captured by the crew of the space cruiser Vega. Rebel commander Admiral Svein plans to manufacture nuclear warheads on Ganymede, arm a cruiser, present an ultimatum to the Earth, and overthrow the democratic government of President Hull, recently defeated in the United States. The colonists of Ganymede undertake a ground attack on the cruiser, but the battle-hardened Vega crew gives them a crushing rebuff. On Jupiter, the Ulunt-Hazulians break up the fleet of the Naurr, the remnants of their troops retreat to the mountains. Theor manages to escape from captivity and join them. He raises the exhausted warriors and leads them to a decisive battle with the Ulunt Hazuls who have laid siege to the capital. Frazer hijacks the ship of the colonists "Olympia" and is going to secretly put him on Ganymede to stock up for a long flight to Earth. However, Svein unravels his plan and sends patrol missiles. Frazer decided to land on Jupiter, counting on Theor's help. He appears in the midst of a decisive battle between the Naurr and the Ulunt Hazul and shoots the invaders army with chemical rockets. The victorious Naurus load his ship with hydrogen and ice. Frazer flies back to Ganymede and declares to Svein that he is going to surrender. Obeying the set program, Olimpia collides with Vega, an explosion destroys both ships. Frazer manages to save freedom for three worlds: Earth, Ganymede and Jupiter.
