Description

The total body length is up to 3.5 cm. The color is creamy white with blue body edges delimited from the main background by a narrow green stripe. Sometimes the edges are purple or blue-violet. A narrow black-brown line runs along the body in the middle of the dorsal side, not reaching the edges of the body. It is bordered by two narrow white stripes, which in turn are surrounded by narrow light brownish stripes. The ventral side is colored in the same way as the dorsal side. At the front end of the body there are two pointed pseudo tentacles formed by folds of the edges of the body.

Habitat and habitat

Distributed in the tropical waters of the Indian and Western Pacific Oceans from the shores of East Africa , the Mascarene and Maldives to New Guinea , the Mariana Archipelago and the Great Barrier Reef off the east coast of Australia . It lives on the outer slopes of coral reefs .
