Content
History
The station was opened in 1930 as part of the Chekhov-Sakhalinsky -Ilyinsk launch site under the name Kusyunnai .
In 1944, the construction of the railway to Uglegorsk began , which was interrupted due to the transition of South Sakhalin to the control of the USSR.
In 1946, after the station came under the control of the USSR, the station received its current name.
In 1971, a line to Arsentievka was opened, the station became a junction. Since 1994, the only rail connection between the western and eastern lines of Sakhalin has been passing through it.
In March 2012, on the Ilinsk - Penzenskaya stretch and in December 2012 on the Ilinsk - Arsentievka stretch, microprocessor self-locking was put into operation [1]
Activities
According to the paragraph, the station is capable of carrying out small freight shipments from warehouses and on open areas, receiving / sending containers weighing up to 5 tons , as well as selling passenger tickets.
Passenger traffic at the station is represented by the Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk- Tomari suburban diesel train, which changes direction along the station. According to the instructions, a cargo-passenger train Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk - Kholmsk , stopping at the station, is appointed once every two weeks.
