The company was founded in 1989 in Seattle . In November 1996, it entered the IPO . In 2003 acquired by Quovadx, Inc. [1] , an independent company again since the late 2000s.
In 2009, she acquired Visual Numerics (developer of mathematical and statistical libraries), [2] and TotalView Technologies (formerly Etnus, developer of debuggers for C, C ++, Fortran) [3] [4] .
In 2010 Acumem was acquired (it worked in the field of optimizing multi-threaded applications) [5] .
Products
Initially, Rogue Wave was engaged in commercial libraries for the C ++ language : Math.h ++ (1989), Tools.h ++ (1990), dbtools.h ++, linpack.h ++. In 2001, the ".h ++" series products were merged into SourcePro C ++. At the end of 2009, Rogue Wave Software began offering products for developing parallel programs.
With the acquisition of Visual Numerics (VNI) [2], Rogue Wave began selling IMSL Numerical Libraries and PV-WAVE (Visual Analysis Environment). With the acquisition of TotalView Technologies, [4] the sale of TotalView, MemoryScape, and ReplayEngine debuggers began. Acumem was acquired in 2010, and its profiler ThreadSpotter.
