Biography

The daughter of the famous singer, tenor Giuseppe Borgatti. She studied ballet, but then left him for piano art. In 1918 - 1920 she lived in Capri , where she had an affair with the artist Romaine Brooks , who painted her portrait ( [1] ), with Faith Mackenzie, wife of the writer Compton Mackenzie , who later described their relationship in the satirical novel “Extraordinary Women” ( 1928 ) After 1920 , she performed widely in Europe, became famous for performing the works of Debussy .
