Biography

Born July 10, 1909 in a working class family. Russian After graduating from junior high school he worked as a builder.

He served in the Red Army in 1931 - 1934 . In 1932 he graduated from the Krasnodar cavalry school. Member of the Soviet-Finnish war of 1939-1940 . On the fronts of World War II since December 1941 .

Junior lieutenant Konstantin Pershin in stubborn defensive battles for the villages of Volokhov Yar , Blagodatovka , Novostepanovka of the Kupyansky district of the Kharkov region of Ukraine from June 10 to 22, 1942 skillfully led the unit entrusted to him.

June 22, 1942 K.T. Pershin and five other soldiers at the observation post were cut off from our troops. Pershin organized the defense and fired on the Nazis from the Maxim machine gun. For 17 hours of continuous battle, he destroyed a large number of Nazis. Having thrown off the attacking enemy, the junior lieutenant with his small detachment rushed to a breakthrough. Clearing his way with machine-gun fire and grenades, K. T. Pershin with all five soldiers made his way to his battalion.

By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of February 14, 1943, for exemplary performance of command missions at the front of the struggle against Nazi invaders and courage and heroism shown to this, junior lieutenant Pershin Konstantin Timofeevich was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union with the Order of Lenin and the Golden Star medal " Under the number 901.

In 1943, K. T. Pershin graduated from the Military Academy named after M.V. Frunze . Since 1946, Lt. Col. K. T. Pershin - in stock. He lived in the village of Oktyabrskaya in the Pavlovsky district of the Krasnodar Territory . He worked as a director of the car depot. He died on January 6, 1958 .
