Discography of American pop singer Britney Spears consists of nine studio albums, three collections, forty-two singles, two promotional singles and 6 video albums. In 1997, Britney signed a contract with Jive Recording Studio and released her first album ... Baby One More Time in January 1999. The album started at number one on the Billboard 200 and later became fourteen times platinum in the US ^[1] and three times platinum in the UK ^[2] . The album included the song “ ... Baby One More Time, ” which hit many charts around the world, topping the Billboard Hot 100 and UK Singles Chart , becoming one of the UK's best-selling singles in history. The album also included other singles such as “ (You Drive Me) Crazy ” and the song “ Born to Make You Happy, ” which became Spears' second single to hit the top of the UK chart ^[3] .

After 16 months, the second studio album Oops was released! ... I Did It Again . In the first week since the release, the album was purchased 1.3 million times in the United States, thereby setting a new record among singers ^[4] . The album became ten times platinum in the United States ^[1] and three times platinum in the UK ^[2] . In November 2001, the third album was released, again reaching the top of the Billboard 200 ^[5] . The album includes the hit “ I'm a Slave 4 U ”, critics of which noted a change in the style of the singer from bubblegum pop to dance pop and urban pop.

For all the time Spears has sold more than 100 million records around the world, becoming one of the best-selling pop artists ^[6] . In addition to this, she ranks eighth in the United States in terms of the number of albums sold among singers ^[7] .
