The protagonist, a Shanshan schoolgirl, a favorite of mothers and teachers, and therefore somewhat capricious and spoiled by attention, begins to realize that she is gradually losing to her classmate Xiaoting, and soon her single mother thrills her to marry the father of the same rival "Lin Zhentin, making them half-sisters.
Years pass, the sisters are gradually reconciling, although Shanshan does not miss the chance to act up and pout "in public". The point is not facilitated by the fact that both fall in love with the same classmate Yu Zhijiang.
Everything changes dramatically after Shanshan, who began to experience severe headaches and dizziness after a while, fainting on the street, gets to the clinic and learns the terrible news - she has a brain tumor that does not respond to surgery and even with medications will allow her extend life only for a short while. Despite the seemingly “convenient” opportunity to concentrate on himself the attention and care of the whole family for the rest of his life, a deadly disease unexpectedly causes Shanshan to grow up, albeit in his own way. Somehow managing to hide her illness from her relatives (not only the diagnosis, but also dizziness, numbness of hands and other symptoms that are increasingly manifesting), the girl refuses to disturb them, especially since her parents are expecting a child, hoping for the birth of a boy, the heir of the family name, what the grandfather of the family expects with particular impatience. Climbing the highest point in Hong Kong, Shanshan prays to live to this day.
Realizing that he will not be able to fulfill many of his dreams, Lin Shanshan with all the dying forces undertakes to help her sister in a relationship with a young man and joins her in a charity (in favor of disabled children) school production of the fragment “ Sleep in a Red Tower ”, playing his main tragic character is Lin Daiyu .
Perfectly playing the dying heroine, Shanshan again loses consciousness during an encore. Forced to reveal a secret to her sister, she asks her not to give it to her parents. After waiting for the birth of the child (girl), Shanshan in the family circle gives himself to relax and dies with a smile on his lips. Parents name the newborn in her honor [1] [2] [3] [4] .
