20th Avenue is the New York Underground station located on the BMT West End Line . The station is located in Brooklyn , on the border of Bensonhurst and Bath Beach counties; at the intersection of 20th Avenue with 86th Street . The station is served by the only subway route - D , which operates around the clock.

The overpass station is represented by two lateral platforms serving only the external tracks of the three-way section of the line. Trains D use only platform-equipped tracks; the central express track is not used for route trains. In the central part of the platform are equipped with awnings. From the edges of the platform a high beige fence encloses, on which there are signs with the name of the station.
The station has a single exit located in the central part of the platforms. Stairs from each platform lead to the elevated mezzanine under the platforms where the turnstile pavilion is located. From there, four stairs lead to the city, to all corners of the intersection of 20th Avenue and 86th Street . The station was filmed in a chase scene in the movie French Connection .
