Education
After graduating from Zhana-Arkinskoy secondary school, he worked as a shepherd for three years at the Kzyl-Tau state farm [2] . It comes from the genus Tarakt of the Middle Zhuz [3] .
1961 - entered the Faculty of Journalism of the Kazakh University [4] .
Professional Experience
After graduation, he worked in the editorial office of the newspaper "Leninshil Zhas" as a literary employee, and later became his own correspondent for the newspaper in the central regions of Kazakhstan .
in 1975 he was transferred to the Karaganda regional newspaper "Ortalyk Kazakhstan" as the executive secretary.
Since 1976 he has been working in the republican newspaper "Socialist Kazakhstan" ( "Egemen Kazakhstan" ) as the head of the department of literature and art [2] .
He worked in senior positions in the journal “Zerde” and the anthology “Alem” [1] .
Over the years, he headed the department at the Institute of Literature and Art. M. Auezov , was a director at the Institute of Education. S. Altynsarin , the first president of the Kazakh Academy of Education , deputy director of the Presidential Cultural Center [5] . Since 2000, he was a professor at the Eurasian National University. L. Folklorist, writer, translator, publicist
A. S. - collector of folklore samples of the Steppe. In the collective period of his life, he published a series of articles of ethnographic content [4] .
The first work was the story “The Proud Bird” ( 1972 ), which attracted the attention of readers with rich historical and ethnographic material.
In 1974, A. Seydimbek translated a prose retelling of Homer's poems “Iliad” and “Odyssey”. In 1977, a new collection of short stories “Steppe and Fate” was released.
1978 - the book "Black Treasure" was published about the life of the industrial center of the republic [2] .
His journalistic works raised domestic journalism to a new level. Together with Zhanibek Karmenov, he shot a series of interviews about a Kazakh song, which was included in the “golden fund” of Kazakh television [1] .
Thanks to him, previously unknown statements and legends gained a second life. Contributed to the revival of ethnographic and ethnological research in Kazakhstan . He made efforts to the emergence and consolidation of such concepts and categories as "distinctive culture of nomads", "civilization of nomads." Using historical data, he first conducted a full analysis of the tribal structure of the Kazakh people. He developed the concept of the formation of the state system, legal system, internal socio-ethnic relations. Collected and published ethnographic folklore of the Kazakh people. He suggested studying the history of Kazakhstan through the prism of individuals [7] .
Author of over 30 fiction, popular science monographs and books [1] , a number of textbooks and over 400 scientific articles [6] .
Membership in organizations
He was a member of the National Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the terminological and onomastic commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the central council of the society for the protection of historical and cultural monuments of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the research commission in the Department for State Certification of Scientific Personnel, the public fund of the state program "Cultural Heritage", the Directorate of the Union of Journalists of Kazakhstan, a member of the Pen- club [5] .
