Geography

The village is located in the central part of the Khiloksky district, on the Bludnaya river, 16 km from the town of Khilok , south of the Transbaikal railway line.

History

Until the end of the XIX century, not far from the current Lake Leneva, the Buryat ulus was located. In 1927 , in connection with the expansion of logging and the formation of the Linevozersky forest station, a village arose here.

Population

The population in 2002 was 2655 people, in 2011 - 2704 [2] . The village has a secondary school , an orphanage , the House of Culture, a rural branch of the Khilok central library network No. 13, as well as a rural district hospital.
