The coat of arms of the city of Lytkarino can be reproduced with the freestyle in accordance with Art. 10 of the Law of the Moscow Region No. 183/2005 OZ “On the Coat of Arms of the Moscow Region”.

The formation and development of the city is inextricably linked with the largest enterprise, the Lytkarinsky optical glass factory, whose main technological processes are connected with thermal reactions, which symbolizes the red color of the coat of arms field. The figure of the mirror indicates that the city produced the world's largest spherical mirror with a diameter of 6 meters for a reflecting telescope intended for astronomical observations and space exploration, as indicated by a star-satellite. The entire coat of arms depicting includes two beams, forming the letter “L” - the title in the name of the city Lytkarino, making the emblem speaking. The blue tip shows that the city stands on the banks of the Moscow River. The emblem of the city of Lytkarino in the language of heraldic symbols harmoniously reflects the history of the formation of the city, its purpose, the natural features of the environs of the city and the main profile of the local population. The basis was taken by the city’s coat of arms, approved on December 19, 1989 by the Decision of the Session of the Lytkarinsky City Council of People's Deputies, taking into account modern heraldic requirements ^[4] .

The city's coat of arms was first approved by the executive committee of the city council of people's deputies of the city of Lytkarino, Lyuberetsky district, on December 19, 1989.

The authors of the coat of arms were Konstantin Mochenov and Yuri Mochenov. The composition of the emblem symbolizes the famous factory of optical glass, where a mirror was made for the telescope, now installed near the Zelenchukskaya station in the Caucasus.

Reapproval took place on February 3, 1999 by the decision of the Council of Deputies of the city of Lytkarino No. 95/14 ^[3] .
