History

The first railway in the Urals began to be built in 1874 . [ specify ] At that time, the Ural mining industry was in crisis due to high transportation costs when transporting products on carts and river barges. After the start of operation, the steel main not only solved these problems, but also reliably connected the region’s richest natural and production resources with consumers and became a transit corridor for the growing movement of goods from Siberia to the European part of Russia.

On August 4, 1878, at 12 p.m. from the Perm station, a test train decorated with flags and green branches was sent to the Lyady station and back. And soon an announcement was published in the Perm Provincial Gazette : on October 1, 1878, the correct goods and passenger traffic was opened all along the Ural Mountain Plant from the city of Perm to Yekaterinburg .

In 1896, with the construction of the Yekaterinburg-Chelyabinsk line, the railway got access to the Russian road network and began to turn into the northern passage of the Trans-Siberian Railway. Initially, all road services were divided into sections. From January 1, 1906 Perm and Yekaterinburg branches of the traffic service appeared, then Vyatka and Chusovskoe. On September 23, 1946, the Perm branch of the Perm Railway was created with the subordination of railway transport enterprises to it within the branch in an operational and economic sense. At the same time, the Chusovskoye, Kungurskoye and Kizelovskoye branches of the road were created. In 1953, the Perm Railway was joined to the Sverdlovsk Railway . In 1955, the Kungurskoye branch of the road was annexed to Perm, Kizelovskoye to the Chusovsky branch of the road. On January 1, 1957, the railway station was opened. Levshino-Nyar branch. In 1997, the Chusovsk branch was merged with Perm.
