History
The video was shot on November 5, 2011 during a wedding in the village of Tangeryud in the Astara district of Azerbaijan , first uploaded to the YouTube portal on January 25, 2012 by a representative of the newspaper Tolyshi Sado, and has since gained more than 11 million views. The video demonstrates the competition between two groups of meihanists who beat the phrase "Who are you?" Let's goodbye!". On the one hand, they were the local meihanists Intigam and Ekhtiram Rustamovs, Rizvan Shykhizade and Hussein Astara, and on the other, the Baku meihanists Rashad Dagly, Elshan Khazar and Parviz Bulbul. The authorship of the popular phrase belongs to Intigam Rustamov [2] . Verses were performed in Russian , Azerbaijani and Talysh languages. According to the Rustamov brothers, this meihan was created after the wedding was asked to perform something in Russian for the groom's Moscow relatives [3] .
In the course of performance, the phrase "Who are you?" Let's goodbye!". This phrase from the video of a Talysh journalist [2] [4] Gilal Mammadov has become a popular Internet meme [5] (inaccessible link from 26-02-2017 [880 days]) . Mamedov was later arrested. According to human rights activist Leyla Yunus, the persecution of the authorities is connected with a comment saying that while President Aliyev spends millions on Eurovision , this meihan has become popular for free [6] [7] . However, according to the deputy chief of the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ehsan Zakhidov, Mammadov was arrested due to the fact that 5 grams of heroin were found and seized from him, after which a search was made in his apartment, where 30 grams were additionally discovered and seized with the participation of witnesses heroin [8] .
According to Meighan artist Intigam Rustamov, Mammadov is not the author of this meihana, as it was mistakenly reported in a number of Russian media, he just uploaded the video to Youtube [8] .
Subsequently, the Rustamov brothers released a video clip-continuation - “I'm Intigam, who are you? I am Ekhtiram. Who are you? ”
Political Use
A line from the verses "Who are you?" Come on, goodbye ”has also become popular with the Russian opposition, which called for saying“ Goodbye ”to former Interior Minister Rashid Nurgaliyev , head of the IC of Russia Alexander Bastrykin and other statesmen [4] . The hashtag #picture of goodbye, cited by Russian opposition users (coordinator of the Moscow branch of the Car Owners Federation Alexey Filin , activists of the Voyna art group , press secretary of State Duma deputy Ilya Ponomaryov Danila Lindele ), took a leading position in the global rating of Twitter network tags [9] . In August 2012, a video appeared in the network in which “Come on, goodbye” is already said by Georgian opposition members to Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili . The rest of the song, except for this line, is sung in Georgian [10] .
Another public outcry
The parody of the song was performed by rapper Timati , reading out with colleagues in the workshop ( L'One , ST , Nel , Jenee , 5 Pluch , Misha Krupin ) a diss on Philip Kirkorov (more than 18 million views in less than 10 months) [11] .
On June 29, 2012, the members of the Meihan, the brothers Intigam and Ekhtiram Rustamov, became guests of the program “ Evening Urgant ” [12] , where they performed this meihan [13] .
Subsequently, the activities of the brothers continued to be occasionally covered by the Russian-language press [14] .
