Biography
He was born on September 3, 1910 in the village of Nikolaevsk in the Samara province, now the city of the Volgograd region, in a peasant family. Russian. After graduating from high school and the school of agricultural mechanization, he worked as a mechanic at a grain farm. In 1932 he entered the Leningrad Institute of Mechanical Engineers of Socialist Agriculture.
In August 1934, he was drafted into the ranks of the Red Army for the special forces of the Central Committee of the CPSU (b) . In 1935 he graduated from the 1st Kachin military school of pilots named after A.F. Myasnikov . Since August 1934 - pilot of the 60th fighter squadron of the Moninsky Aviation Brigade of the Air Force of the Moscow Military District, since September 1937 - pilot and junior pilot of the 73rd Fighter Aviation Squadron of the 1st Special Forces Army (Monino, Moscow Region). From July 1938, he was commissioner of the squadron of the Ivanovo Aviation Brigade, then a unit commander in the 6th fighter aviation regiment of the 1st Special Forces Army ( Khabarovsk ) [4] . In 1938 he passed the external examination for conferring the military rank of lieutenant .
He participated in battles with the Japanese on the Khalkhin Gol River from May 23 to September 16, 1939. He was transferred to the battle zone on Khalkhin Gol as part of a group of the best pilots to strengthen the active units. Upon arrival in the combat area, he was appointed flight commander of the 22nd Fighter Aviation Regiment , in July he became an assistant squadron commander in the same place. He flew on an I-16 fighter. During these battles, Lieutenant I. Krasnoyurchenko made 111 sorties, participated in 33 air battles and 45 assault operations on ground troops. He shot down 5 Japanese fighters and 24 aircraft in the group [5] (according to other sources, won 8 personal and 16 group victories in 55 air battles) [6] . For courage and heroism shown during the fulfillment of a special task of the Government he was awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union by Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of November 17, 1939. In September 1939 he was appointed commander of the squadron of the 22nd Fighter Aviation Regiment of the 2nd Mixed Air Brigade of the Air Force of the Trans-Baikal Military District . In February 1940 he was sent to study, and in November of the same year he graduated from advanced training courses for the command staff of the Air Force in Lipetsk . In November 1940 he was appointed assistant commander of the 43rd Fighter Aviation Regiment of the Air Force of the Kiev Special Military District ( Vasilkov , Kiev region ). Since April 1941 - fighter training inspector of the Air Force Directorate of the Kiev Special Military District [4] .
In the battles of World War II, captain I.I. Krasnoyurchenko - from June 22, 1941. On this day, being on official assignment at one of the airfields near Kiev and being caught there by a German air raid, without orders took off, attacked German bombers and shot down the Yu-88 . This was the first victory won in the sky of Kiev . Since June 1941 - commander of the 92nd fighter aviation regiment of the Air Force of the South-Western Front . Since August 1941 - deputy commander of the 36th Air Defense Fighter Division , which defended the skies of Kiev and Kharkov . Since October 1941 - the commander of the 142nd mixed air defense division . Since November 1941 - the commander of the forming 141st Air Defense Fighter Division ( Kuibyshev ). Since March 1942 - commander of the 102nd Fighter Aviation Division of Air Defense , at the head of which he fought in the Battle of Stalingrad . From July to October 1942, the division under his command conducted fierce continuous battles with enemy aircraft, during which time 330 German planes were shot down, losing 133 of their fighters [8] . In October 1942, removed from command of the division for the loss of aircraft when relocating to new airfields.
Since November 1942, Colonel I. I. Krasnoyurchenko is the commander of the 147th Fighter Aviation Division of the Air Defense Rybinsk-Yaroslavl Air Defense Division [4] . German aviation in 1943 made several raids on industrial enterprises of Yaroslavl and Rybinsk, reflecting which pilots of Colonel Krasnoyurchenko shot down 15 aircraft. Since March 1944 - Deputy Commander of the 9th Voronezh Air Defense Fighter Corps [4] . The corps performed missions to cover the Kiev industrial region, railways in Ukraine and strategic bridges across the Dnieper . In the spring and early summer of 1944, the Germans launched several massive raids on Kiev and the Darnitsa railway station, which were repelled by the corps. Personally, Krasnoyurchenko commanded a corps operational group consisting of 2 fighter regiments allocated to defend Kazatin and Berdichev , which did not allow the destruction of railway stations in these cities and shot down 9 enemy aircraft in battle (7 of them at night).
During World War II personally shot down 3 enemy aircraft [5] .
After the war
After the war, he continued to serve as deputy commander of the 9th Voronezh Air Defense Fighter Corps . After the dissolution of the corps from November 1946, he was deputy commander, and from September 1947 to January 1950, he was commander of the 120th Air Defense Fighter Division . In December 1951 he graduated with honors from the Aviation Department of the K.E. Voroshilov Higher Military Academy . Since February 1952 - Commander of the Kuibyshev Air Defense District. Since October 1953 - Head of the Central Aero Club of the USSR named after V.P. Chkalov [4] .
Since January 1956, Major General Aviation I. I. Krasnoyurchenko - in stock. He lived in Kiev. He worked as a director of a ceramic art factory. He died on April 1, 1970. He was buried in Kiev at the Baykovsky cemetery [4] .
