One-horned Bolbelism [1] ( lat. Bolbelasmus unicornis ) is a bug from the family Scavengeridae-dugout family superfamily.

Description
Body length reaches 12-15 mm. The body is round, convex, almost semicircular. Coloring is brilliant, brown or reddish-brown. On the elytra between the suture and the shoulder tubercle there are seven point grooves. Males have a small horn on their heads. Pronotum with 4 large tubercles. Females have a head with three subtle occipital tubercles, pronotum without tubercles, only a smooth keel. The eyes are partially separated by cheek protrusions. Middle coxae in contact, middle and hind tibia with two to three whole transverse carinae [1] .
Species Range
The species range includes the territory of the following countries: England , Germany , Austria , Greece , Crete , western, central and partly eastern Ukraine . On the territory of Ukraine, lives on the territory of the Dnipropetrovsk , Kiev , Chernihiv , Vinnitsa , Chernivtsi Lviv , Ternopil regions [1] .
Biology
It inhabits mainly deciduous forests , forest plantations and forest belts. Features of nutrition and the method of reproduction have not been studied, possibly a fungifagus (feeds on underground mushrooms - Hydnocystis arenaria ). There are no exact data on the reproduction and development of the species [1] .
Strength
A very rare species that occurs singly and sporadically.

It is listed in the Red Book of Ukraine as “Vulnerable Species” [1] .
