Farrukh Karimovich Zakirov ( Uzbek Farrux Zokirov , Farrukh Zokirov; born April 16, 1946 , Tashkent , Uzbek SSR , USSR ) - Soviet and Uzbek pop singer , composer and actor . Artistic director of the vocal and instrumental ensemble " Yalla " (since 1976). People's Artist of the Uzbek SSR (1987), as well as five more former republics of the Soviet Union . Biography

Farrukh Zakirov was born on April 16, 1946 in the capital of the Uzbek SSR - Tashkent [2] , in a family of professional musicians - People's Artist of the Uzbek SSR Karim Zakirovich Zakirov (1912-1977) and singer Shoista Saidkarievna Saidova (1920-2000). Parents met while studying at the opera and theatrical studio of the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory [2] , got married in 1936 in Moscow , where their firstborn (Batyr) was born in April of the same year [3] . In total, five sons and a daughter were born in the family: Batyr , Louise , Naufal, Farrukh, Jamshid , Ravshan. Hospitable and hospitable home was often visited by leading Uzbek artists and singers of that time, so children from an early age were brought up in an atmosphere of inspiration, creativity and love of art, in which the Zakirov musical dynasty was formed, which stood at the origins of the opera and pop art of the Uzbek republic [3 ] .

In 1969, Farrukh Zakirov graduated from the faculty of choral conducting of the Tashkent State Conservatory .

In the same year, along with his brother Ravshan, he became a member of the TTHI amateur vocal and instrumental ensemble (VIA) created by students of the Tashkent Theater and Art Institute (TTHI) , which since 1970 became known as the Yalla VIA.

In 1976, Farrukh Zakirov became the artistic director of the Soviet and Uzbek vocal and instrumental ensemble Yalla , under whose direction VIA received popular recognition. The ensemble is still very popular and tours in many countries of the world: in Russia, Kazakhstan, Georgia, America, Israel and Ukraine.

Farrukh Zakirov wrote the music for the songs “ Uchkuduk ” (“Three Wells”, 1980), which became the “visiting card” of the ensemble, “Beloved's Face”, “Motherland”, “Teahouse”, “Yalla”, “Song of Shakhrisabz ”, “Blue domes of Samarkand ”and many others, as well as to several films, including“ The Bride from Vuadil ”,“ Tricks of Mysara ”, where he sang in a duet with his sister Louise,“ Iron Woman ”, to the musical performance“ Mysara is a superstar ” .

  • Mother - Shoista Saidkarievna Saidova (1920–2000), singer, performer of folk songs, soloist of the Tashkent Musical Drama and Comedy Theater named after Mukimi . She was the first performer of the role of Leili in the national opera “ Leili and Majnun ”, written by Uzeyir Hajibeyov [2] [3] .
  • Brother - Batyr Karimovich Zakirov (April 26, 1936 - January 23, 1985), a Soviet and Uzbek singer, writer, poet, artist and actor. People's Artist of the Uzbek SSR (1965). The founder of pop art in the republic [2] [3] .
    • Nephew - Bakhtiyar Batyrovich Zakirov (August 9, 1962 - November 6, 2005), Honored Artist of the Republic of Uzbekistan , actor of the Ilkhom Drama Theater in Tashkent , starred in several feature films (“Youth of a Genius”, “Clinic”, “Sahibkiron”). He played his father, Batyr Zakirov, in the film, which was shot by his younger brother Bahadyr [2] .

  • Sister - Louise Karimovna Zakirova (born January 7, 1938), a Soviet and Uzbek pop singer [2] . Honored Artist of the Uzbek SSR (1965). She stood at the origins of modern Uzbek pop music with her brother Batyr Zakirov. In 1954, as a schoolgirl, she made her debut on the stage, performing the Indian song “Tu Ganga Ki Mauj” from the film “ Baigu Bavra ” at a government concert dedicated to the visit of the first Prime Minister of India, Jawaharlal Nehru, with his daughter Indira Gandhi to the Soviet Union.     • Niece - Nargiz Pulatovna Zakirova (born October 6, 1970), singer. The daughter of Louise Zakirova and Pulat Morduhaev, drummer in the ensemble "Batyr". In 2013, she took second place in the Russian television show of vocalists “ Voice ” on “ Channel One ”.
  • Brother - Naufal Karimovich Zakirov (1941-1977), opera and pop singer. He graduated from the Tashkent State Conservatory [2] [3] .
  • Brother - Jamshid Karimovich Zakirov (July 11, 1948 - April 7, 2012), a Soviet and Uzbek theater and film actor, TV presenter. Honored Artist of the Republic of Uzbekistan (1995) [2] [3] .

Personal life

  • The first wife is Nargiz Baykhanova (1949 - April 23, 2017), a former soloist of the Uzbek vocal and instrumental ensemble " Yalla " (1974-1983) [4] .
    • Son - Said Farrukhovich Zakirov. He studied in England and the USA with a degree in international law. He was engaged in business first in Uzbekistan [5] , now - in Moscow [6] .
  • The second wife (since 1986) - Anna (born 1967), Russian . They met in 1986, when Anna came to work at the Uzbek Concert, where Farrukh worked [5] .
    • The adopted son is Mikhail (born 1985), the son of Anna from a previous relationship. He studied in the USA, worked part-time at an insurance company [5] , is engaged in business in Los Angeles [6] .

In the summer of 1991, the leadership of the Uzbek SSR submitted documents to Moscow to formalize Farrukh Zakirov the honorary title " People's Artist of the USSR ", but due to the events of August of that year, this process did not receive its logical conclusion.
