Biography

Kundukhov was born in 1890 in the village of Staraya Saniba , Vladikavkaz District, Terek Region, into a family of Terek Cossacks - Ossetians Azamat and Meretkhan Kundukhovs. He studied at the Vladikavkaz real school, then at the Moscow Konstantinovsky boundary institute from which he was expelled for revolutionary activity. After the October Revolution of 1917, he returned to the Caucasus. During the Civil War, he carried out work to unite and arm the Red Guerrilla units in Dagestan and Chechnya, and was active in the fight against the troops of Denikin and Imam Gotsinsky . Later appointed by the military commissar of the Andean district .
Since April 1920 - pres. Khasavyurt District Committee. Since December 1922 - People’s Commissar for Food of the Dagestan ASSR.
From 1923-1925 - Head, Propaganda Department From February to April 1924 - the answer. Secretary of the Dagestan Regional Committee of the RCP (B.)
From 1925 to 1929, he worked in the apparatus of the North Caucasian Regional Committee of the Party.
In 1930 he was sent to the Chechen Autonomous Region as head of the Cultural and Propaganda Department of the Chechen Regional Committee of the CPSU (B.).
On August 3, 1931, he was killed in the Tsotsin-Yurt aul in a collision with a gang of fists. He was buried in a mass grave in the Komsomolsky square of the city of Grozny (now the square in front of the mosque " Heart of Chechnya ").

Rewards

RVSR Order No. 76 for outstanding services and heroism shown in the battles for the Khunzakh fortress, in 1923 (according to other sources, 1920) was awarded the Order of the Red Banner .

Memory

Streets in the cities: Makhachkala , Grozny , Gudermes are named in honor of M. Kundukhov.
