Eudocima (lat.) Is a tropical genus of butterflies from the family Erebidae . Widely distributed in the tropics and subtropics. Pretty variable in color. Only one species is found on the territory of Russia - the Amur snake scoop ( Guenee , 1852).

DescriptionLarge and medium sized butterflies with a wingspan of up to 130 mm. The body and wings are covered with thick hairs. Fore wings are brownish-brown, brown in color, sometimes with greenish stripes and obscure greenish spots. In general, similar in color to dry leaves. The tops of the front wings are pointed. The hind wings are orange-yellow or orange with a black spot and / or black bandages on the outer wings. In general, biology is not well understood.
RangeSoutheast Asia . The northernmost part of the range , where the Amur snake scoop is found, passes through the territory of Primorye of Russia .
