Biography
Pavel Krupsky was born on February 18, 1924 on the farm Ekaterinovskiy now Abinsk district of Krasnodar region . His father was a tobacco grower and worked on tobacco plantations on the farm Ekaterinovskiy. After grade 4, Pavel Krupsky studied in the village of Fedorovskaya.
In 1936, the Krupsky family moved to the village of Novomyshastovskaya in the Krasnodar Territory. In terms of academic performance, Krupsky had only “good” and “excellent” grades; he loved reading adventure literature about exploits. In June 1941, he graduated from secondary school (10 classes) in the village of Novomyshastovskaya. He began his career in the workshop.
In May 1942 he was drafted into the ranks of the Red Army as a private. The course of the young fighter he took in the city of Tuapse .
On August 5, 1942, Pavel Krupsky received his baptism of fire in the battle near the village of Ladoga , when the Germans immediately tried to force the Kuban River . The onslaught was repelled, and Soviet troops launched a counterattack along the stanitsa of Novo-Mikhailovskaya , where the enemy was driven back to the eastern outskirts and partially surrounded. From August 12, 1942, Krupsky participated in the fighting as an ordinary shooter . Later he became commander of a branch on the North Caucasus Front, in the Black Sea Group of Forces of the Transcaucasian Front , and again on the North Caucasus Front . He was wounded twice.
In 1942- 1943 he took part in defensive battles on the Kuban River (district of the Khadyzhenskaya stanitsa in the Tuapse direction ) and in the defense of the eastern outskirts of the city of Novorossiysk . From September 1942 to September 1943, Krupsky served as a scout and participated in repelling 189 enemy attacks. For resourcefulness and courage to expose German scouts dressed in Soviet uniforms, sergeant Krupsky was awarded the Order of the Red Banner (7 Nazi scouts were captured and more than 2 dozen were destroyed) [1] .
On September 9-16, 1943, Krupsky participated in the Novorossiysk landing operation , which set the goal of liberating the city of Novorossiysk. Krupsky's detachment was part of the 3rd Airborne Detachment (1339th Infantry Regiment), to which the enemy threw almost all of its reserves. The selfless actions of the paratroopers of all 3 detachments, which distracted the main forces of the garrison, allowed the two regiments of the 318th mountain-rifle division and other units of the 18th army to break through the enemy’s defenses and break into Novorossiysk and free him from the enemy. The presentation of Krupsky to the award of the Order of the Patriotic War, 1st degree for this military feat found in the medical battalion .
On the night of November 1, 1943, in the first airborne detachment, the commander of the rifle squad of the 1339th mountain regiment, sergeant Krupsky and his squad landed on the shore of the Kerch Peninsula in the area of the village of Eltigen (now Geroevskoye within the city of Kerch ). Within 4 days he took part in repelling multiple attacks by superior enemy forces. In the melee, destroyed several Nazis, knocked out a German tank and blew up an enemy mortar crew. Krupsky's battalion captured the village, expanding the springboard for the arriving Soviet units.
November 4, 1943, Pavel Krupsky died in battle. He was buried in the village of Geroevskoe . The decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR dated November 17, 1943 for exemplary performance of combat tasks of the command on the front in the fight against the German fascist invaders and for showing courage and heroism to Sergeant Krupsky Pavel Filippovich was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union.
