Content
History
The station was opened in 1936 as part of the Makarov -Poronaysk launch site. Until 1944, the northernmost station on Sakhalin.
On August 20, 1945, the station was liberated by Soviet troops.
Until the 1980s, the station was reversed. In the 1980s, a new railway station was built, which made it possible to straighten the Korsakov - Nogliki railway line, but the section from which the diesel locomotives enter the Poronaysk depot depot is preserved.
Description
The station consists of seven tracks with a gauge of 1067 mm , all non-electrified. At the first track there is a low landing platform with a train station . Also in the station cargo terminal. A reversible depot is located one kilometer from the station. It is intended for the maintenance of TG16 diesel locomotives.
Activity
According to the paragraph, the station is capable of carrying out small cargo shipments from warehouses and in open areas, receiving / sending containers weighing up to 5 tons , as well as selling passenger tickets. At the station, all passenger trains run between Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk , Tymovsky and Nogliki . In summer, a commuter train to Pobedino is appointed. At the end of September 2015, the suburban train Poronaysk - Tikhaya also runs once a day.
