Geographical position
Located in the northern part of the district. The distance from the administrative center of the settlement to the district center is 22 km [2] .
Borders:
- in the north - with St. Petersburg
- in the east - with Nikolsky city settlement
- in the south - with the Ulyanovsk city settlement and Fornosovo city settlement
- in the west - with Telmanovsky rural settlement and Fedorovsky urban settlement
The territory of the settlement is crossed by:
- federal highway M10 ( E 95 ) "Russia" ( Moscow - St. Petersburg )
- Highway 41K-173 ( Yam-Izhora - Nikolskoye ) "Nikolskoye Shosse".
- two gas pipeline branches, oil pipeline and power line [3]
History
According to 1990, the village of Krasny Bor was the administrative center of the Krasnoborsky village council, which included 4 settlements: the villages of Mishkino, Porkuzi, Feklistovo and the village of Krasny Bor , with a total population of 6300 people [4] .
Krasnoborsk city settlement was established on January 1, 2006 in accordance with the regional law No. 116-oz dated December 22, 2004 “On the establishment of borders and the appropriate status of the municipality of the Tosnensky municipal district and its municipalities” [5] .. It consists of entered the urban village of Krasny Bor and settlements subordinate to the administration.
