Koutiyattam
Kutiyattam [1] ( Malayal. കൂടിയാട്ടം , Sanskrit. कूटियाट्टम् , Kūṭiyāṭṭaṃ IAST ) is a type of Hindu Sanskrit theater common in Kerala , India . This ancient form of theater appeared more than 2000 years ago and is practiced in the Hindu temples of Kerala and Tamil Nadu . UNESCO officially awarded Koutiyatta the status of a masterpiece of oral and intangible cultural heritage .
