The village is located on the right bank of the Soyvern river, a tributary of the Vorona river, 16 km northeast of the regional center of the village. Tamala , the distance to the administrative center of the village council of Vishnevoe village is 6 km.
Name Origin
The village is named for the river on the right bank of which it is located. The River Soyvern is a left tributary of the Crow. The river is steppe. The length of the Soyvern River is 58 km.

History
According to the studies of the historian - local historian Poluboyarov M.S., in the middle of the 18th century, on the lands of Captain Ivan Lvovich Naryshkin, a peasant Vasily Muravlev from the village of Naryshkino (now part of the village of Bekovo, Penza Region), the village of Sovernya, Vasilyevka, Muravli was founded. The village was located on the right bank of the river Soyvern. In 1780 - in the Serdobsky district of the Saratov province . At the beginning of the XIX century belonged to Countess Elizaveta Kirillovna Apraksina, before the abolition of serfdom - to Count G. A. Kushelev-Bezborodko .
