Chad took part in the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, from July 27 to August 12, 2012. These Games have become the eleventh in Chad's history since their debut at the 1964 Games . The Chad team included athlete and judoka Karin Ngarlemdana . Ngarlemdana was the standard bearer of Chad at the opening ceremony , and Ndiker at . None of the representatives of Chad was able to overcome the first round of their competitions and win Olympic medals. Chad was one of only two women teams in the 2012 Games.

General information
Chad, a landlocked Central African country, participated in the Olympics for the eleventh time since its debut at the 1964 Games in Tokyo, Japan, in 2012 [1] . Most athletes (six [1] ) were sent by the Chad to the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul [2] and the 1992 Games in Barcelona, Spain [3] . As of 2016, representatives of Chad have not won a single Olympic medal [1] . Two athletes from Chad qualified for the Games in London: athlete , who ran 200 meters and judoka Karin Ngarlemdana , who performed in the weight category [4] [5] . There were no men in the Chad Olympic team in 2012, which made this team, along with the delegation from Bhutan, the only fully female teams [6] .
Athletics
The 2012 Summer Games became the for 7] : at the 2008 Games, the fifteen - year - old athlete was the standard-bearer of Chad at both ceremonies [8] [9] . Then she became the 64th among 85 participants in women's competitions in the 100-meter race [10] . At the 2012 Games, Ndiker changed the distance by 200 meters . On August 6, she ran in the first qualifying race [11] , completing the distance in 26.06 seconds and becoming the last among eight athletes in her race [11] . She is 3.51 seconds behind the winner of the race, the Ivorian Murieli Aure [11] . In the overall standings, Ndker became the penultimate [12] , ahead of only the representative of Cambodia, [12] . Ndiker was 2.96 seconds behind the last athlete who qualified for the semifinals, and did not forgive further [12] .

Judo
Karin Ngarlemdana made her debut at the Olympic Games in 2012 at the age of 17 years [13] . She was the standard-bearer of Chad at both ceremonies. [14] [15] She became the third representative of Chad at the Olympic judo competitions [16] . Ngarlemdana participated in competitions in the weight category , qualifying from the [17] . On August 1, Ngarlemdana took part in the battle of the first round [13] , where British Sally Conway [13] became her opponent. Ngarlemdana lost 0002–1110 and flew out of the competition [13] . In the overall classification, she, along with five other judokas, took 17th, last place [18] .
