Nidelv ( Norwegian Nidelv Idrettslag ) is a Norwegian sports club from Trondheim , Sør-Trøndelag . It has sections for football , handball , floorball , athletics , weightlifting and cross-country skiing . It was founded in 1952 as a result of the merger of the Nidarwall and Tempe clubs. The latter was founded on October 19, 1930, and the same date is considered the founding date of Nidelva.

The soccer team (men's) is currently playing in the fourth division, fifth level of Norwegian football. Nidelve played in the second division for many years. After demotion in 1997, the team won the third division in 2000 and 2001, but both times failed to win promotion through the playoffs. In 2002, Nidelve won the playoffs. They played in the second division in 2003 and 2004 until a second reduction.
