Biography
Born in the Italian city of Lucera. Parents at birth gave him several names - Donat Antonio Giovanni Nicola, but they called him Giovannelli .
From an early age, he was associated with the Franciscans by the conventions, served as a student in the church, graduated from the school where the godbrothers of St. Francis of Assisi .
In 1695, when joining the Franciscan Order, he received the name Francesco Antonio. He studied philosophy and theology in several boards of the Order. He became a doctor of science.
Priesthood took in Assisi in 1705
His further life is closely connected with the monastery in Luzer. He taught at the local college, later became her rector.
St. Francesco became the abbot of the monastery and the province of the order, as well as educator novice teachers. He took care of the poor, the sick and the prisoners.
On March 20, 1731, an earthquake occurred in the province of Foggia , after which the 14th century church was badly damaged. Fazani collected donations and restored the church. He was venerated to saints during his lifetime.
He died at the age of 60, November 29, 1742. Beatified in 1951 by Pope Pius XII .
In 1986, Pope John Paul II canonized him.
Memorial Day of St. Francesco Antonio in the Catholic Church falls on November 27th.
