The station was opened on the existing overpass line in 1908 . To date, the station is represented by two side platforms serving only external (local) four-track lines that use the Q train. The central roads use express trains B on weekdays, and since these routes are not equipped with platforms, they pass without stopping. Platforms are equipped with a canopy in the central part and are fenced along its entire length with a high beige fence. The name of the station is presented in the form of standard black plates with white graffiti and columns.
Until the 1920s, the LIRR line ran parallel to the BMT Brighton Line . Despite the fact that the line was demolished long ago, you can still clearly see its remnants. The place occupied by this line was partially used in the process of reconstruction of the station.
The station has a single exit. It is represented by stairs that lead to the lobby under the platforms. There is a small turnstile pavilion in the lobby. Exit from the lobby leads to the north side of Gracevent Nek Road , between East 15th and East 16th Streets . In addition, each platform has two full-height turnstiles, which bypass the lobby. They only work on the exit of passengers (with the exception of one turnstile on the east (on Manhattan ) platform, which works both on the entrance and on the exit).
