Description
The MAZ-5549 dump truck was manufactured on the basis of the MAZ-5335 and was a continuation of the MAZ-503A model. Like all cars of the 5334/35 family, cars received a new designation in accordance with the industry standard in force at that time. At new MAZs, headlamps were moved to the front bumper. This met the requirements of the standard for truck lighting. A new decorative radiator grill and special “plugs” were installed that covered the openings in the front wall of the cab for the headlights that were previously there, in which they installed parking lights combined with direction indicators.
Since 1985, the production of a new generation MAZ-5551 dump truck began at the Minsk Automobile Plant . Despite this, the MAZ-5549 dump truck remained on the conveyor until 1990.
