Beerocephals

Beerocephals ( Birocephalus ) - Leningrad rock group was formed in 1989, which began its career in the times of the legendary St. Petersburg club Tam-Tam. The first in Russia began to play in the style of hard-core. Seva Novgorodtsev, who hosted his program on the Air Force Radio at that time, first released Beerocephals on the air and this was the first group of this style. In 1994, after the death of the bass player, the musicians left the stage for 5 years. The renaissance began in 1999 when the bass guitarist of the band “Hasta La Vista Che” Gurba and vocalist Hans met. At the same time, in the studio “Do-Re-Mix” by Hans, the album “Poganie Dyanki” in the style of pogo-dance was recorded almost alone.

In 2000, Dasha came to the group and an accordion instrument, non-standard for this style, appeared in the group. In 2003, Birocephalus released the album "Alcoholic Punk Madness". And in 2005, the album is “Pour out the glass!” In 2007, two guitarists came at once - Andrei Maslov from the legendary band “The Spiders” and Dmitry “Zork” Solopov, Gurba's colleague from “Hasta La Vista Che”. The band is recording the album Let's Go Drink Beer. The album is very diverse - here you can hear hardcore, ska, folk, among the instruments appeared a tuba and bagpipes.

In the fall of 2008, the group shoots the video for the song “Hammer by Order”, which has been in rotation for more than 3 months on the first alternative television channel A1 and in 2009 was nominated for the 2009 RAMP award in the category Clip of the Year and Group Opening of the Year. Since 2008, the group is the face of the legendary shoes from England "TUK". Photos Beerocephals hang in stores in Moscow and St. Petersburg and are present in the catalogs. Mention of the group can be seen in publications such as TimeOut, Afisha, SKRUTT (Sweden), etc. Now the group is involved in writing a book about the history of punk rock in Russia, an independent St. Petersburg edition.

BEEROCEPHALS

In different years, the track record of participation in various festivals and together with the stars is extremely extensive and diverse: FPG, Spiders, Night Wolves Bike Show - Overdrive, MadSin, DoobyJungle, Meantrators, Beer Festivals, Alice, Front, Kaliningrad in rock, Fish festival in Karelia, Brigadier in a row, Troll Oppet Spruce, North Gate, festival on Copper Lake, etc., etc. At the moment, the group is writing a new material and has started shooting a new video. Beerocephals music can be heard in Detroit beerhouses, Czech Republic. and often you can listen to the clubs of St. Petersburg, Moscow and beyond.

The band’s creative work was told in the documentary TAMTAM: Music of the Time of Troubles, directed by Ivan Bortnikov. [one]
