Biography

He gained fame in 1979, becoming the third at a distance of 5000 m at the European Championship among juniors. In 1981, he won his first (and only) national championship.

At the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles at a distance of 5000 m, he sprinted a bronze medal with a result of 13.09.20. In 1984, as part of the national team, he became the third in the world team cross-country championship. Two years later, at the European Championships in Athletics in 1986, he took fifth place. In the same year he won the San Silvestre Vallecana tournament.

In 1991 he graduated from a sports career.
