Michel-Etienne Turgot ( fr. Michel-Étienne Turgot ) ( June 9, 1690 , Paris - February 1, 1751 , Paris) - the merchant prime minister of Paris, who held this position from 1729 to 1740 [1] . Best known as the initiator of the creation of the so-called " Turgot Plan " - one of the most famous maps of Paris, created in the period from 1734 to 1736 [2] [3] .
