Jean-Baptiste de La Chapelle ( fr. Jean-Baptiste de La Chapelle ; c. 1710 - c. 1792 , Paris ) - French abbot and mathematician . He took part in the mathematical part of the Didro Encyclopedia of the 18th century . The first to use the word " spacesuit " to denote a diving suit.

His works in mathematics have long been known. He also wrote:
