- β On August 17, 1995, Executive Order of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation No. 1495 was issued, where a list of names of former Soviet republics was approved. At the disposal of this republic was listed under the name "Kyrgyz Republic" (full form), "Kyrgyzstan" (short form). This name is used in official documents of the Russian Foreign Ministry. In Kyrgyzstan itself, where the Russian language has official status, the documents use the name "Kyrgyzstan" or "Kyrgyz Republic"
