Minolta’s further development was the Minolta CLE automatic rangefinder, based on the Leica CL housing. The camera is equipped with a TTL - exposure metering device and a curtain shutter which is cocked mechanically, the first curtain is also lowered mechanically, and the second is an electric solenoid, which allows precise shutter speed without a mechanical cam. Lens mount - Leica M mount .
300 copies of the camera were issued with gold trim, the so-called. "Gold issue" (CLE GOLD LIMITED) and were sold only in Japan. [3] [4]
