The novel was the beginning of media franchise , being adapted into a series of video games Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six in the genre of tactical first -person shooters.
Story
The plot of the book tells about the activities of the international anti-terrorist unit "Rainbow" ( born Rainbow ), which, by resolving a series of terrorist acts, breaks the plot of a handful of scientists to destroy humanity by mass infection with a dangerous virus.
Criticism
The Russian site of computer games Igromania gave the book 4 out of 5 points. The critic appreciated the author’s professionalism, but pointed out the insufficiently elaborated images of the main characters: “Clancy sometimes sins with inaccuracies in the descriptions, but you do not pay much attention to this. Drive and atmospheric book, again, do not hold ” [1] .
